Computers
High schools that run at least two blood drives per year will have the chance to win computers for their school.
Eight computers will be given this year!
Two drawings will be held with 4 computers per drawing, one in February and one in June. Qualifying high schools will be entered once in each drawing and the drawings will be grouped by county:
• Los Angeles & Ventura County High Schools – 2 computers per drawing
• Orange County High Schools – 1 computer per drawing
• San Diego County High Schools – 1 computer per drawing
Pizza/ Movie Party and $$$
High schools also have a chance to win pizza and movie party (valued at $300) and up to $300 for club bank accounts. To be entered in this drawing, high schools are required to:
- Run at least two blood drives
- Invite Donate Life representatives to two science classes to give a presentation about organ donation and transplantation
- Recruit five students to volunteer for or enter a team in the Donate Life Run/Walk (April 26, 2008 at California State University Fullerton)
One school in each county (Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange and San Diego) will be drawn to win the Donate Life pizza/movie party and monetary donation to the club bank account of their choice

Scholarships
High schools that run at least three blood drives per year have the chance to win scholarships for students who participate in organizing blood drives.
Six lucky students will each win a $2,500 college scholarship!
(Scholarship checks will be written directly to the college or higher education institution.)
Laptops
High school students also have a chance to win a fully loaded Dell laptop. To be entered in this drawing, students are required to:
- Run at least three blood drives
- Invite Donate Life representatives to three science classes to give a presentation about organ donation and transplantation
- Recruit ten students to volunteer for or enter a team in the Donate Life Run/Walk (April 26, 2008 at California State University Fullerton)
One student in each county (Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange and San Diego) will be drawn to win a laptop. Run/Walk volunteers also earn community service and volunteer hours!

Other benefits
Your recruiter can write you a letter of recommendation.
As a blood drive recruiter, you can have your Red Cross representative write you a letter of recommendation for college. Everyone can use an extra edge to get into the college of your choice, and community service can be that edge.
